About

An independent studio with its own engine

Founded in 2017, Vrynthia Interactive has always been small on purpose: three teams, one technology stack, no outsourcing of the parts that decide how a game feels.

Engineering philosophy

A game is a pipeline that happens to produce a product. If the pipeline is slow, the team compensates with overtime; if it is opaque, the team compensates with meetings. So we treat the pipeline as the primary artefact and the game as its output.

That has three practical consequences. First, deterministic simulation — a build must reproduce itself, otherwise debugging is archaeology. Second, streaming geometry and level compilation — the engine should never load what the camera will not see. Third, everything is visible: renders, builds, logs and queue state land in the same telemetry the companion app reads.

We do not publish a roadmap. Productions are announced when there is something to show, not before.

How the engine is put together

World core. Fixed-step simulation at 120 Hz with a deterministic command log. Networking, replay and QA bug reports all replay through the same path.

Residency compiler. Level sources are compiled offline into pages of geometry, light and acoustic data. The runtime streams pages by camera prediction, and a page that is never predicted is never uploaded.

Render bridge. Frames can be produced locally or dispatched to the cloud cluster. Both paths share the same shading model, so a review frame and a local frame are the same image.

Tooling. The editor, the asset cooker and the build farm are the same codebase; nothing about the workflow lives outside version control.
